Benefits of Massages
Therapeutic massages can help with various everyday health issues. Here are some types of massages and their benefits:

Whole Body Massages – These massages relieve pain in different body parts. They cover your arms, neck, shoulders, back, legs, and glutes.

Deep Tissue Massages – These target painful muscle stiffness and help ease discomfort.

Targeted Joint Massages– These provide relief for symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

What do I need to do before the first massage session?
If this is your first massage, fill out an intake form. This form includes your medical history and treatment preferences. Your massage therapist will assist you in achieving relaxation, pain relief, or pampering.

How will I identify my therapist?
Before your first appointment, we will send you an email. This email will include your therapist’s name, their mobile number, and any other contact details. You will have this information even if you book the appointment on the same day.

Do I need to prepare anything before the session? Yes, you do need to prepare towels. Your massage therapist will bring some supplies. They will come with a professional massage table, towels, and essential oils that are hypoallergenic or specially scented.

What To Do Before a Massage

Take a warm shower. This helps you relax. Stay hydrated to improve your health and enhance your massage experience. Hydrated muscles are easier for your therapist to work on. They also help clear waste from your body, which reduces soreness after your session.

Show Up Fresh and Clean. If you have time, take that warm shower. It relaxes your mind and muscles before your massage.

Take Jewellery Off and Get More Comfortable. Wear something loose, soft, and easy to move in. This will help you fully relax during and after your massage. Move and Stretch Your Body. If you feel tight, spend 5-10 minutes doing light stretches. This prepares your body for deep tissue release.

Eating Before a Massage. It’s recommended by our therapists to eat a light meal or come in on an empty stomach. Eating too much close to your appointment can leave you feeling bloated on the table. Also, avoid drinking alcohol or limit your intake before your session.

Make It Your Massage. Before your massage begins, have a conversation with your therapist. Mention any injuries or existing wounds. If you have cuts or abrasions, cover them up.

What To Wear During Your Massage
Wear just your underwear. This is because we use massage lotion. It allows us to work around the areas you want covered, including glute work. When you ask your therapist for more work on your glutes, communicate your preferences clearly and respectfully.

What To Do After a Massage
Get Up Slowly. Take a moment to breathe deeply. Slowly roll onto your side. Use your arms to push yourself up from the table.

Drink Plenty of Water.  After you get dressed, drink some water. This helps you rehydrate. Massages can lead to dehydration because they move fluids to your kidneys.
Keep Self-Care Going. Self-care starts and ends at home. You may receive stretches from your therapist to help your body relax between sessions. After your massage, avoid intense exercise. Stay away from alcohol and caffeine for several hours.

Do you charge for travel?
We charge extra for travel that goes beyond 30 minutes from Leppington, NSW 2565. We include this cost in the initial quote.

What are 3 instances when massage is not recommended?

Avoid massage if you have contagious diseases like the cold or flu. Do not get a massage after recent operations or if you have acute injuries. Also, skip massage if you have severe and unstable hypertension. Local contagious or irritating skin conditions also require caution.

Yes, Medicare covers remedial massage. Many private insurance plans include it as part of natural or alternative therapies. Remedial massage is also covered under worker’s compensation benefits

Grand United (GU Health)

Aged care massage offers many benefits for both physical and mental health. It serves as an excellent treatment for senior citizens. Many seniors seek aged care massage to improve their quality of life. Clients often worry about conditions like arthritis, chronic pain, weak joints, muscle tightness or weakness, loss of mobility, poor circulation, and oedema. Massage therapy helps address these issues. The healing touch provides a caring and personalized experience. This experience can reduce feelings of stress, anxiety, depression, and loneliness.

Who should not get an aged care massage?

Aged care massage is specifically designed for elderly individuals. However, you should always consult your healthcare provider before starting any form of physical therapy. This advice is especially crucial for people with cancer, chronic pain, or terminal illnesses. Those receiving palliative or hospice care should also seek guidance. A healthcare provider can help determine if an aged care massage is safe and suitable for you. DMT aims to give every client in Sydney the best support while prioritizing their health and well-being.

Each person with a disability has unique needs. Therefore, services that you can claim using NDIS funding will differ from person to person. The goal of your NDIS funding is to provide support for your disability and help you reach your goals.

Within the capacity-building budget of an NDIS plan, you might access funding categories. These categories promote daily activities and offer health and wellbeing support due to your disability. Massage Oil

Mineral oil good for the skin?

Mineral Oil is safe for most skin types. It does not clog pores, making it non-acnegenic and non-comedogenic. Moreover, Mineral Oil is stable and washes out of clothing and sheets easily. It is non-irritating, hypo-allergenic, and an effective lubricant in massage creams and lotions. Overall, it serves as a great body massage oil.

Pure Massage Oil can easily mix with water. This quality extends the lifespan of towels and allows easy oil removal with regular washing powder. To test H2Oil’s dispersibility, add a few drops to warm water and shake well. You will see it turn white as the oil mixes.
